Bambi started as a children’s biscuit company with only 37 employees and anual production of 167t.

1967

Record-high volume of 3,000 tonnes of products was produced. Investments in new equipment began.

1974

In 10 years of operation, Bambi won about 100 medals for its product quality. Production exceeded 3,100 tonnes.

1977

A new Plazma biscuit production line was launched in Požarevac.

1985

Annual production rose to 6,500 tonnes.

1987

Bambi became the first confectionery producer in the then Yugoslavia which introduced the ISO 9001 standard quality system.

1997

Bambi won the title of the "20th Century Quality Champion" of the Novi Sad Fair. It was the first and only company in the then Yugoslavia to introduce the latest quality management standard - ISO 9001:2000.

2000

Obtaining the certificate in hygiene management and the HACCP system was a remarkable success, because Bambi became the first company in Yugoslavia and outside the German-speaking territories to obtain this certificate.

2002

For the first time in its history, Bambi produced more than 20,000 tonnes of its products. 

2003

Bambi won the reputable award for ‘THE BEST BRAND OF SERBIA 2004’ for Plazma, granted by the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Services of the Republic of Serbia and the economy daily Pregled.

2004

Bambi merged with Banat from Vršac and established the Bambi-Banat Concern.

2006

Production reached 27,000 tonnes. More than 8,000 tonnes of products was exported. Bambi also marked its 40th anniversary by organising a range of campaigns across Serbia. 

2007

Bambi continued to export its products – to the ex-YU countries, European Union, USA, Australia, Canada, etc. 

2008

Bambi launched 49 new products within a year. 

2009

Bambi introduced 75 new products, including Plazma Reci Cake, Plazma Cake Instant Recipe, Plazma Children’s Biscuits, etc. 

2010

Fasting Plazma was launched with added minerals and the same taste and smell as the original Plazma.

2011

Bambi won the Virtus Award for the most innovative CSR project of the year for its "Juhu Playgrounds" project. 

2013

Bambi won the CSR Award of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia and the Virtus Award for CSR contribution to the local community. Also, Plazma rewarded as the most favourite local brand in the previous decade in the ‘Best from Serbia’ campaign of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia. 

2014

Bambi launched a new Plazma line, worth more than 10 million euros.

2015

Yo D'oro Wafers with pumpkin flavour, Mini mini Plazma, new Bambi Biscuits brand launched; Magazine "Sensa" rewarded our Wellness brand as the “Brand of the Year 2016”.

2016

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia granted the Anniversary Award to Bambi for 50 years of successful business operations; the Corporate Volunteering Award was granted in the “Best Volunteer Campaign” category for the "Bambi Caravan" project; new Plazma Salty Olive and Cheese flavour.

2017

Certification of the ISO 50001 system completed. Total energy (electric and heating) savings reached 4.51% at the corporate level in 2018.

2018

- Bambi officially became a member of the Coca-Cola HBC Group.
- Bambi launched the CSR project titled “You Matter” for organising free mammography check-ups.

2019

- The Bambi for YOUng internship program was launched, rewarded as the Best Internship Program at the 1st Empolyer Branding festival in Serbia the following year.
– As of July 2020, all power we use in production comes from renewable energy sources.
– Production of 30,000 tonnes of finished products exceeded, including 22,000 tonnes of Plazma.
– Despite the pandemic conditions, we managed to increase export by 15% and donated more than RSD 30 million for the response to coronavirus.

2020

- A production facility, worth EUR 12 million, for producing up to 45 tonnes of Plazma per day started operating.
- For the first time, Bambi is included in the joint Sustainability Report with Coca-Cola HBC Serbia.
- Our most preferred brand, Plazma, launches a CSR campaign dubbed “Equality originates at home”, aimed at raising public awareness about the unequal position of women.
- Plazma and Zlatni Pek obtained the “Home Keeper” label, within the “Made in Serbia” project of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia.
- Bambi joined a dual education project.
